AJ's swimming education began with an all-too-common scare: As a baby he slipped past the babysitter one day and fell into the pool. After that experience his parents made it an immediate priority for him and his brothers to learn to swim. Growing up in California and Texas, every hot summer afternoon was spent in the pool and swimming was a way of life. AJ was an art major in college and still draws and writes a comic book whenever he can find the time. Maybe one day he’ll present it to the world but for now it’s a passion and a great way to keep his skills sharp. Whenever possible, he tries to go back to the west coast to visit family and friends and hopes one day to have a nice little farm or maybe a small dairy where he can take care of animals and raise whatever grows best in the area. In the meantime, he’s excited to be a part of the Imagine team in NYC!
