Maxwell began to swim competitively at the early age of five with the Laguardia Twisters. He went on to compete in meets across the region and the country, and in 2013, he won the CUNY swimming championship with Lehman College. He has worked as a swim instructor and Lifeguard at Rockaway beach for five years and served as a teacher's assistant for two years for the Board of Education, working with children of all ages and disabilities. Currently, he is a Legal Assistant working toward his law degree. In his spare time, he can be found taking his son swimming, snowboarding, and many other active adventures!
