Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) Paola first went to the pool at age three to learn to swim, embarking on an adventure that would take her to three Olympic Games. Paola got started with a synchronized swimming club team at five-years-old, sparking a passion for water and music. At 13, she became part of the Spanish National Synchronized Swimming team, a group which would go on to establish the benchmark in the sport on the international stage. Paola's competitive career culminated in winning an Olympic Silver Medal and three Olympic Diplomas (awarded to finishers in the top eight). After retiring from the world of competition, her passion for water has combined with a career in architecture and interior design. Paola has conducted several training camps around the world for children who want to enjoy the water, and has worked with different National Synchronized Swimming Teams- including preparing the USA National Team for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Her desire to continue a cosmopolitan lifestyle, together with transmitting her knowledge of water has now brought Paola to the amazing city of New York and the waters of Imagine Swimming. We are also excitedly looking forward to Paola bringing her sport to NYC, and launching Imagine Synchro!
