Karla's parents enrolled her in swim lessons before she was old enough to remember. Growing up in Arizona, she swam competitively for Scottsdale Aquatic Club. Her favorite strokes were breaststroke and freestyle and she loved to race in relays with her teammates. After high school, she attended The Hartt School and graduated with her BFA in Actor Training. During her college years, she earned her Lifeguard certifications and started to get back in the pool. She has been teaching for the last two years and was coaching for the East High School swim team in Utah before coming to New York. Karla loves to be in the water and looks forward to sharing her love of swimming with all her kids!
