Teacher
Lauren grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas where she trained in gymnastics and dance. At age 16 she began lifeguarding and teaching swimming. She made her way to NYC to attend the Ailey Fordham BFA in Dance program - a joint program through Fordham University and The Ailey School. Her love for teaching was sparked when she became a swim specialist at Ramapo Country Day Camp. Though not a competitive swimmer, Lauren grew to love and appreciate swimming for body awareness and cross training. Currently, Lauren is a freelance modern dancer in the city. She teaches swimming, teaches dance and babysits on the side. Some of her recent hobbies include playing tennis, redecorating, and performing retail therapy at Target and TJ Maxx.
