Reeshane was born in the Philippines and raised in New Jersey. At a young age, her parents signed her up for lessons for multiple sports such as volleyball, basketball, softball, dance, and karate. However, it wasn’t until she was 11 that she developed her love for swimming and soon joined her first team -- New Jersey Scarlet Aquatics. In high school, she was a member and the Captain of the Bayonne High School Swim Team for all four years. Also during her high school years, Reeshane helped coach her town’s Junior Bees Swim Team and volunteered for a Bayonne Community Ed Buddy Swim Program, where she taught children with special needs, lifeguarded, and gave private lessons. Reeshane is currently studying at Pratt Institute, majoring in Architecture. When she’s not in the water, she loves to go hiking, running 5Ks, skating, reading, and songwriting.
