Travon was born and raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Inspired by watching Michael Phelps's all-time Olympic performances, Travon taught himself how to swim with dreams of someday competing at the Games. He went on to join his high school swim team at Tilden Campus in East Flatbush, where he immersed himself in the sport and mastered all four strokes Travon's goal is to continue spreading the importance of swimming in his community -- most importantly, teaching the necessity of this life-saving skill. He is also into cycling in his free time.
